#1 in Elections on Amazon, Reviews, and More Updates

We've got several exciting updates from the LWM team today...

First, we're proud to announce that You've Come a Long Way, Maybe recently hit #1 in Elections on Amazon.com.

We've also got a few other exciting updates from the first few weeks of the book's release. We've had several bloggers show interest in reviewing the book, and the first two of those reviews are live. Both reviews share thoughtful, critical analysis of the books and raise new questions of their own about gender equality in politics and media. We appreciate you guys taking the time to read and review the book! Here are the two reviews:

A review from Clarissa's Blog:

"Sanchez represents that rare breed of Republicans who can write a book that would be of interest even to hard-core liberals such as this blogger. The main point she is trying to bring across in her book is that our society is still so profoundly sexist that a woman who aspires to political office has her chances severely limited by her gender. I couldn't agree more and the main question I have to ask is why Sanchez would want to belong to a party that is dedicated to promoting sexism on all levels. Being in the same room with woman-haters like Ross Douthat, Rush Limbaugh, George W. Bush and others is offensive to any woman, let alone actually belonging to the same party with them.

A review from John Amussen at Mutant Poodle:

"The book is well worth reading for its look at the sorry level of sexism that so many women in politics face.  And while I disagree with Sanchez on numerous political issues, I do think it would be nice if campaigns didn’t get sucked into gender politics."

Additionally, Leslie will be the featured author in the October issue of Latina Style, and has a forthcoming op-ed in the magazine as well. She also has forthcoming op-eds in CNN.com and Politics Daily, so stay tuned for more updates on those!
